How Meditation Can Help You With Positive Thinking

Positive thinking, everyone has an opinion about it. Some say it’s THE way to create an amazing life. Some say it’s thinking something that’s not true, so in fact fooling yourself. I have an opinion about it too, and I’m guessing so do you. Or maybe you don’t, and that’s OK too.
We are all different and we all have different opinions.
We are all different and we all have different opinions.
For me positive thinking is a life changer. So yes, I’m one of those persons saying that it’s a perfect way to create an amazing life. I notice my mood changing when I choose happy thoughts instead of negative thoughts. When I notice I’m thinking negative thoughts, I stop them and I choose happy thoughts to replace them. And no, that’s not always how I feel yet. Notice the “yet”? 😉 When I start thinking those happy thoughts I start to feel happier and more positive. And you know, positive thoughts do make you feel happier than negative thoughts. Makes sense, right?
But positive thinking needs some practice. When you start it might feel a little odd. That’s OK. Just don’t let it scare you! Keep trying, keep replacing negative thoughts with happy thoughts. Try to see it like a muscle that needs exercise. It will get stronger the more you practice. So exercise your happy thoughts muscle as much as you can! The more you do it, the easier it gets. Oh, and if you find it difficult, try it with a smile on your face.
Thinking negative thoughts with a smile on your face isn’t that easy!

Practicing your happy thoughts muscle is where meditation comes in. Meditation is a wonderful tool when practicing happy thoughts. Why? Here are a few things:
- When you calm your mind you’ll think less negative thoughts
- When you listen to a guided meditation you focus on the voice you’re hearing. Therefore you will not be focusing on your (negative) thoughts.
- You’ll sleep better, which will make you feel better, happier and more positive
- When meditating you learn to observe your thoughts and let them fly away, like clouds in the sky passing by
- You’ll start feeling more positive about yourself and your life
The more positive thoughts you’ll think, the more positive thoughts you will attract. Like attracts like and what you focus on is what the universe gives you more of. So think happy thoughts and the universe will send you even more happy thoughts!
If you too would love to have more happy thoughts, meditation is a great way to help you. If you’d like to discover what meditation can do for you I invite you to join my free meditation challenge Simply Relax. By taking a moment to relax and meditate each day, you’ll start noticing changes in your every day life! Looking forward to seeing you there!
