Doodle Notes
“Keep your face always toward the sunshine, and shadows will fall behind you.’”
– Walt Whitman
This is a great reminder, although such a simple truth that it can be frustrating when you are in the middle of a struggle.
I let this one be drawn without thinking (like usual), and then loved to admire the doodle afterwards (while I color) observing how tense Mira’s body seems to be, as she keeps being pulled backward by the ego.
But…
I feel like she’s ready to take a leap and listen to her heart. She seems mesmerized by the light.
Let’s never forget that the sun keeps shining even when there are clouds blocking it from our view.
My Inspiration & Delight

It has been so much fun to play with Mira lately as she joined #Viztober now in October!
Last week, I traveled to Sweden for five nights, and sketched my ideas in my travel journal.
This one was for metaphor “Planting doubt”.
Oh, how I wish I rather doubted the ego first, but nope, the ego can be mighty convincing at times.
Most of the Viztober prompts seem to dance with the ego, so he’s appearing in many of the doodles I’ve drawn lately. I like it, because it feels good to bring his work into the light, it ceases to be so hurtful once it’s recognized.
