Doodle Notes
Here in Finland, we are experiencing a spring that has sprung earlier than usually. I’m in awe of each little flower that sprouts up from all that grayness of the past winter.
My head spins around as I try to spot more and more of my “friends” returning. I have a long list of them to track every year.
But nature is more patient…
I haven’t yet seen a butterfly, nor a ladybug.
The frogs have been silent.
I’m learning patience, too.
What’s happening in the forest near you right now?
My Inspiration & Delight

Here’s an interesting traditional Japanese braiding technique I found. It’s called kumihimo. This design is crazy simple to do, you need a piece of cardboard and thread.

It turned out great as an eyewear strap!
Just a little finishing to do yet.
The original instruction I used was in Finnish and no longer available.
