Doodle Notes
"Surrender is releasing the need to control the outcome,
giving up is deciding the outcome is no longer worth the pain of trying."
- Susan, on The Minimalist podcast, episode 541

When Mira gives up, the ego goes crazy. There's NO WAY that giving up is even an option for it.
But there's another way, in which the ego no longer has a say.

When you surrender and release your attachment to outcome, it might not feel as great at first as Mira here shows,
but eventually, with surrender, you open up space for...

...your heart to lead miracles your way!

My Inspiration & Delight

I have enjoyed this book so much that I want to praise it for you - in case you are looking for some summer reading that calms the nervous system, expands your mind, and is as delighting as meeting a like-minded friend.
Shao Lan's The Strategy of No Strategy was a serendipitious find for me. As I'm studying Japanese, I found her Chineasy books interesting because they teach kanjis through pictures. I looked her up and found the most beautiful book cover that I've ever seen. I loved the concept too, so I ordered it and now I'm on chapter 6 loving every word.
I read one chapter each morning during my breakfast in our balcony which is my summer garden. Our balcony faces a green wall of forest and is filled with my indoor plants that are out enjoying summer, too.
I love how Shao Lan refers not only Tao Te Ching, but many researchers, philosophers, and other experts weaving together words and stories that bring me insights that make me feel refreshed, rooted and grounded into who I am and what I've thought about life and purpose.
It feels like everything in my life is now nudging me towards appreciating alignment and natural flow of life, and away from resisting, controlling and arguing with life.
Thank you, Life!
